Toby Keith’s Son Stelen Welcomes First Baby

The couple’s big news came just over a year after Stelen’s father died at 62 following his difficult battle with stomach cancer.

“You are the strongest man I have ever known,” the 28-year-old wrote in an Instagram tribute to Keith last February alongside a throwback picture of the two playing in a pool. “A fighter. A true titan of your industry. My guiding star. My coach. My hero.”

Indeed, while many knew the “Courtesy of the Red, White and Blue” singer for the music he shared with the world, Stelen just knew him as the man who raised him, loved him and taught him how to navigate life.

“An embodiment of the American Spirit,” he continued of his father. “You are a man whose strength, prowess, and talent could only be trumped by his ability to be a father and husband. Your impact is forever stamped on the world and on millions of people, yet not one person knew you the way I did. You were my biggest champion and the guiding light in my darkest times. The best mentor a man could ask for.”
